Beer is the Chuvash national drink, which is served at all holidays.
No wonder that even the coat of arms of the republic depicts a vine with hop cones — 90% of Russian hops are grown in our region.
The Cheboksary beer museum is not large but cozy. It is even surprising how much local guides can tell about beer, through the museum has only two halls and three expositions.
The exhibition was prepared by famous Chuvash artists and museum workers. The hall dedicated to brewing in the Ancient World was being prepared under the supervision of the experts from the St. Petersburg Hermitage Museum.
The museum contains the amazing collections of beer bottles of the 19th century, mugs, jugs, corks, drink coasters (an item used to rest beer mugs upon) and labels used in different periods.
